Louise our tea taster says
"This tea has flourished from humble beginnings - Japanese peasants used to mix green tea with toasted rice to make it go further. Now, a celebrated tea in its own right - popcorn tea (or genmaicha tea to use its official name) is a truly unique blend with a wonderfully nutty undertone. Perfect for those who have always longed for savoury sugar puffs!"
How does it taste?
Green tea with a popcorny, almost nutty undertone. Best described as “Sugar Puffs in a cup” – truly unique.
Good if you're feeling
In need of a treat. As indulgent as a trip to the movies, but without the violence and naughty language, this sweet green tea will lift your spirits.
1 tea temple per person. Brew for 3 mins, best with water at 80 degrees C.
(If you don't have a fancy kettle or thermometer to hand, grabbing the kettle just before it boils will do the trick!)
Green tea, toasted rice.
